Position Title: Electrical Assembler I
Status: Non-Exempt
Job Summary:
The primary responsibility of an Electrical Assembler is to connect large devices to electronic components to complete assembly resulting in operational equipment. This position reports to a Team Leader.
Essential Qualifications:
- Expertise in handling various tools
- Good hand-eye coordination in putting together small and intricate parts needed to empower devices of varying sizes
- Impeccable attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently and problem solve quickly
- Ability to fit into a team setting
- Self-motivated
Education and/or experience:
- A minimum of 2 years as an Electrical Assembler or completion of certificate program in Electronics is preferred.
Job Duties:
- Routes wires, assembles and install electrical and electric components in varying sized equipment
- Reads work orders, blueprints and specifications to determine assembly methods
- Uses soldering gun and various hand tools
- Troubleshoots circuits
Work Context:
- The use of safety equipment such as safety glasses, shoes, gloves, helmets and hearing protection is utilized daily.
- This position requires continual use of your hands, considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping and handling materials, exposure to certain contaminants and exposure to loud noise levels.
- This is a 40 hour per week job with occasional mandatory overtime.
